If
you are a new Christian, then we want to say happy birthday and welcome to God's
family!
You have taken the first step in
a lifelong journey of love and discovery and we want to help ensure that you get off
to the best start possible.
As a new Christian there are some specific things you should do in obedience to
our Lord.
| Repentance |

This is a change of heart and mind resulting in turning away from a life
that is disobedient to God (Acts 17:30). Even experienced Christians will stumble
and sin from time to time, but the Holy Spirit will reveal our sin to us, and when He
does we need to confess it, and repent of it, and not allow it to be a part of our life in Christ.

|
Jesus told us in Matthew 10:32-33 that everyone who confesses Him before men, He will
also confess that person to His Father in heaven. So tell
someone about your decision. It can be a family member, a friend, a fellow Christian, anyone.
During baptisms at KACC, we provide you with an opportunity to publicly confess Christ to the
church.

Jesus commanded that we be baptized as an act of obedience to Him. It is better to obey our
Lord sooner than later, so baptism should be a priority for the new Christian.

Growing Spiritually
It's important to get involved in a small group or Bible study as soon as possible.
They provide an environment where you can develop relationships with other
Christians and actively participate in the Study of God's word.
Serving God
Every believer has an important role to play in serving God through ministry
to fellow Christians, to our community, and the world. There are very many different
ways to serve God in the church. Find those that are right for you, then commit to
serving God through them.

Sharing Your Faith
All Christians should watch for evangelism opportunities (evangelism means sharing
the good news of Jesus with those who don't yet know Him.) At KACC we suggest
that you make a list of 7 "not-yet Christian" friends or family
members, and watch for opportunities to win them to Christ.
