We deeply care for those in our church family who
are needing to be encouraged and strengthened through difficult times.
Our lay counseling ministry is specifically directed to those
experiencing difficulty in their life. This ministry offers personalized
counseling for individuals or couples experiencing a wide range of
problems including emotional, relational, parental, or marital issues.
Our lay counselors are not licensed professional counselors. Their primary education
and training is not in the fields of psychology, counseling or mental
health. Lay counselors are trained in the use of Scripture and
the principles of Biblical counseling, and are committed to the
position that the Scriptures are the authoritative standard
for faith and conduct (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
Throughout the counseling process, we will hold to the essential truths of
Scripture (Titus 2:1).

Praise the Lord! We thank Him for Jay and Linda Risner who have volunteered
to serve as coordinators of our lay counseling ministry. The Risners will be
serving with a qualified team of lay counselors from KACC who will
provide Biblical counseling as an extension to our current pastoral counseling
ministry.
