Shane is currently the Senior Pastor at Knott Avenue Christian Church in Anaheim, California. Knott Avenue Christian Church is a non-denominational church of 2500 members.

Shane graduated from Pacific Christian College in Fullerton, California in 1978 with a BA in Christian Education. He received an MA in Christian Doctrine from Emmanuel School of Religion in Johnson City, Tennessee in 1983. Shane was a youth minister in Lawndale, California from 1978-1981. Shane and his wife, Phyllis, were Residence Hall Directors at Pacific Christian College from 1982-1986. The Arizona Evangelistic Association called Shane to be church planter in Phoenix, Arizona in 1986. There he planted and was the Pastor of Saguaro Christian Church (now Stone Creek Church) until 1995. From 1995 to the summer of 1998 Shane was the Evangelism Pastor at Overlake Christian Church in Redmond, Washington.

Shane and his wife, Phyllis co-hosted "Marriage 911," a live call-in marriage counseling radio show in Seattle, Washington, from 1996 to 1998. Shane and Phyllis are popular speakers at retreats, and marriage conferences.

Shane and Phyllis Womack were married in June 1979 in Lawndale, California. They have five children: Amanda, Jeniece, Luke, Micah, and Haley. The Womacks currently reside in Huntington Beach, California.
